Heike Dorsch

Heike Dorsch (* 1974 in Würzburg ) is a German graduate in business administration, blue water sailor and author .

Career

Dorsch completed her training with a degree in business administration and worked as a product manager in Hamburg until April 2008 . At the age of twenty she met Stefan Ramin from Pinneberg . Together they set out on a circumnavigation of the world in 2008 .

On October 9, 2011, her partner was shot, dismembered and burned on the Pacific island of Nuku Hiva by the local Arihano Haiti. The couple had met the man the day before in a small village. The case caused a stir worldwide as a cannibal murder , but later investigations did not reveal any evidence of cannibalism . The perpetrator was sentenced to 28 years imprisonment on May 16, 2014.

In autumn 2012 Dorsch published the book Blauwasserleben , in which she reports about the adventure trip and the loss of her friend. It reached the Spiegel bestseller list. The ZDF filmed the book under the same title, the TV premiere took place on 15 March 2015. Heike Dorsch was himself involved in the shooting.
