Heiko Schelberg

Heiko Schelberg (born June 11, 1972 in Korbach ) is a German sports official .

Life

Schelberg was born in Korbach and grew up there until he was 18 years old. He played as a soccer goalkeeper for SV 09 Korbach. In Winterberg he did an apprenticeship as a hotel clerk, acquired specialist knowledge in the field of marketing and then worked in this area in the hospitality industry, including in a hotel in Frankfurt am Main while he lived in Bad Homburg . He was employed by the sports rights marketer Sportfive (or its predecessor company Ufa Sports) from 2001 and worked on behalf of Sportfive until 2004 as sales manager at the Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund , from 2004 to 2006 as sales director at Eintracht Frankfurt and from 2006 as marketing manager at 1. In addition to his activities in football, Schelberg was also used by Sportfive in the marketing of other sporting events, including professional boxing matches, the Four Hills Tournament and ski races. In January 2012 Schelberg moved to the Bundesliga basketball team Gießen 46ers , and in April 2012 he became managing director.
