Holy Spirit Church (Bad Oeynhausen)
The Heilig-Geist-Kirche in Bad Oeynhausen is the parish church of the Evangelical Lutheran Wichernkirchengemeinde Bad Oeynhausen, which belongs to the Vlotho parish of the Evangelical Church of Westphalia . It is located in the southern part of the Oeynhausen district center .
History and architecture
The area of today's Wicherngemeinde originally belonged to the Laurentiuskirche in Rehme . In the peasantry break since 1907, there was a town hall, in which services were performed. In 1926 it was named Wichernhaus after Johann Hinrich Wichern .
In line with this, the 1957 abgepfarrte community Wichernhaus-parish Bad Oeynhausen-south , from 1962 Wichernhaus parish Bad Oeynhausen , called. Between 1961 and 1963, the Heilig-Geist-Kirche was built as a hall church with a gable roof and free-standing bell tower according to plans by the architect Karl Wilhelm Ochs .
The crucifix from 1964 is by Jürgen Weber , the organ was built in 1967 by Gustav Steinmann Orgelbau in Vlotho . A christening chandelier was made by Eva Limberg , a biblical cycle of pictures by Robert Hammerstiel .
