Holy Trinity (Sickertshofen)
The Catholic Chapel of the Holy Trinity in Sickertshofen , a district of the municipality of Schwabhausen in the Upper Bavarian district of Dachau , is the former court chapel of a monastery of the Augustinian Canons of Indersdorf . It was built in the 17th century and changed in the late Gothic period.
architecture
In the middle of the west facade rises the rectangular bell tower covered with a gable roof . The west facade is crowned by a stepped gable. Tower and gable were changed around 1500. The simple interior is covered by a flat ceiling and enters the three-sided enclosed choir over.
Frescoes
Frescoes dating back to the 14th century have been exposed on the walls . The representation of the Last Supper and the Mount of Olives scene are dated to the early 16th century.
Furnishing
- The altar was created in 1860 in the neo-Gothic style. In the center there is a relief depicting the Trinity , to the side are the figures of St. Florian with a fire bucket and St. George who defeated the dragon.
- The small carved figure of the Crescent Madonna is dated around 1700.
- An old offering box has been preserved in the chapel .
