The Heimat BKK (short name: Heimat Krankenkasse ) is a German health insurance company from the group of company health insurance companies based in Bielefeld . It has been open nationwide since February 1, 2002.
The home BKK was established on January 1, 2000 and is the legal successor to the BKK Oetker (Bielefeld) founded on January 1, 1997 and the BKK CA Delius & Sons (Bielefeld) established on September 1, 1887.

The history of today's home BKK is closely related to the industrial development of Dr. August Oetker KG and has its origins in 1952:

structure
The board consists of one member. The self-governing body is the board of directors consisting of 12 members (eight members and four employer representatives) .
There are branches in Bielefeld , Budenheim , Hamburg , Wittenburg and Wittlich .
Contribution rates
Since January 1, 2009 the contribution rates have been standardized by the legislator. The Heimat BKK did not levy any additional insurance contribution until the end of 2014 . It has been charging an additional fee since 2015 ; since 2016 this has been 1.1% of contributory income.
