Luiz Vieira da Silva
Count Luiz Vieira da Silva (born October 2, 1828 in Fortaleza ; † November 3, 1889 ibid) was a lawyer , banker and politician in the Brazilian Empire .
Life
Vieira studied law at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg . In 1849 he became a member of the Corps Saxo-Borussia Heidelberg with Georg von Steinmann . He was president of the provinces of Piauí (1869/70) and Maranhão (1876). In 1888/89 he was the last naval minister of the Brazilian Empire. He died at the age of 61.
