The Heimatecke is a miniature park in Waschleithe in the Saxon Ore Mountains . The exhibition facility, opened in 1961, shows over 80 models on a scale of 1:40 on around 3000 square meters. The model landscape is modeled on an Ore Mountains Christmas mountain and fitted into a natural landscape of the Seifenbach with rocks and bonsai-like trees. Some of the models are powered by the water of the Seifenbach, a tributary of the Oswaldbach , others are electrified. In addition, typical scenes of the Ore Mountains life are shown.
