The HEIMDALL Glacier is a small glacier in East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Asgard Range, it is located on the south side of the Wright Valley east of Siegfried Peak and Siegmund Peak .
The New Zealand Antarctic Place-Names Committee gave it a name from Norse mythology, as did numerous other objects in the Asgard Range . It is named after the god Heimdall , guardian of Asgard .
