Heiner Moldenschardt
Heinrich Moldenschardt , usually shortened to Heiner Moldenschardt , (born September 11, 1929 in Dresden ; † November 21, 2011 in Berlin ; full name: Hans Heinrich Moldenschardt ) was a German architect and university professor .
Life
Moldenschardt was a grandson of the architect Heinrich Moldenschardt . He grew up in Wernigerode and later lived in Berlin. After graduating, he initially worked as a freelance architect. In the 1960s he initially worked for Paul Baumgarten . He then worked with Josef Paul Kleihues from 1962 to 1967 . Among other things, they realized a residential development in Gropiusstadt and an old people's club in Reinickendorf in Berlin . Her urban planning report for Berlin-Ruhwald from 1967 became well-known. In August 1968 he was presented together with Kleihues in an edition of the Deutsche Bauzeitung as one of the representatives of the younger generation in Berlin. In September 1968 he took part in the “Diagnosis for Building in West Berlin” exhibition by the “ Aktion 507 ” group, which dealt critically with urban planning in Berlin at the time.
From 1975 until his retirement in 1994 he was professor for building planning and spatial structure at the Hamburg University of Fine Arts .
In 1974 he was accepted into the Berlin Academy of the Arts , where he was deputy director of the architecture section from 2006 to 2009.
Heinrich Moldenschardt died on November 21, 2011 at the age of 82.
