Heiner Schönecke (born March 21, 1946 in Elstorf , Harburg district , Neu Wulmstorf municipality ) is a German local politician ( CDU ) and a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament .

education and profession

He attended school in Buxtehude and then trained as a farmer . In 1972 he took over his parents' business and expanded it into a direct marketing business with branches in Hamburg .

He is married and has three children.

politics

Schönecke was from 1968 to 1972 chairman of the rural youth in the Harburg district. From 1972 to 1984 he was the local association chairman of the CDU Neu Wulmstorf / Elstorf. He was a member of the Neu Wulmstorf municipal council (1976-2006), member of the Harburg district council (1976-2016) and chairman of the CDU Neu Wulmstorf parliamentary group (1984-1996).

Heiner Schönecke has been a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament since 2003. He was elected directly in the Buchholz constituency. From 2006 to 2016 he was also the first deputy district administrator of the Harburg district.

After the state elections in 2017 , he opened the first session of the new state parliament as age president . As treasurer he is a member of the board of the CDU parliamentary group. In the legislative period from 2017 Heiner Schönecke is a member of the Consumer Protection Committee, the Council of Elders and the Presidium of the State Parliament. He is treasurer on the board of the CDU parliamentary group.

In addition, Schönecke was a member of the supervisory board at Volksbank eG from 1974 to 2000 and chairman of the supervisory board of the economic development company in the Harburg district from 2001–2007. Since 2010 he has been a member of the supervisory board (since 2015 deputy chairman of the supervisory board) of the utility company EWE AG .

He has been chairman of the Kiekeberg Museum Friends' Association since 2000, member of the Kiekeberg Board of Trustees since 2003 and of the Board of Trustees of the Bingo Foundation since 2011.
