Heiner Wittrock

Heiner Wittrock (* 1948 in Wunstorf ) is a German teacher and former headmaster , historians and local historians to recent history of his birthplace and nonfiction - author .

Life

Heiner Wittrock was born in the British zone of occupation in 1948 only a few years after the Nazi era and after the end of the Second World War . After graduating from the Hölty-Gymnasium Wunstorf, he completed his military service with the Leichten Kampfgeschwader LeKG 43 in Oldenburg .

Wittrock studied in Hanover , the capital of Lower Saxony, at what was then the Technical University and what was then the University of Education before he started working as a teacher. From 1983 to 2010 he worked as the principal at a school in the Kolenfeld district of Wunstorf .

Heiner Wittrock wrote several books on the recent history of his hometown, but also published as a co-author on topics such as the airlift as well as refugees and displaced persons .

The “Wunstorf homeland researcher” is the contact person in his city for historical topics such as the abandoned Scharnhorst secondary school . Wittrock is married and has two sons.
