Heino Huber

Heino Huber (born December 6, 1962 in Vorarlberg ) is an Austrian chef .

Life

After graduating from the hotel management school in Schloss Kleßheim , he gained his first experience with his father Ernst Huber , who was also a recognized top chef, and went abroad to look for experience. His teachers included Arrigo Cipriani in “ Harry's Bar ” in Venice, Maître Faugeron in “Taillevent” in Paris and Eckart Witzigmann in “Aubergine” in Munich.

When asked about the secret of his success, Faugeron once replied: “You can add anything.” This motto has remained his basic philosophy to this day.

Deuring Schlössle in Bregenz

In 1994, Heino Huber and his then wife Bernadette took over the Deuring-Schlössle in Bregenz and turned it into a gourmet hotel. In the castle, the landlady was also a sommelier . She keeps the top wines in the castle cellar. In 1996 the Deuring Schlössle made it into the "Gault Millau". According to Christoph Wagner , with whom Huber published his first fish cookbook in 2007, he is one of the top five top chefs and the best fish chef in Austria.

In 2014 Heino Huber married Isabella Pincsek. The Deuring Schlössle was closed in January 2015.

Huber has been cooking in the Maurachbund restaurant in Bregenz since 2016 .
