Heinrich Auer (administrative lawyer)

Heinrich Auer (born September 11, 1828 in Großwelzheim ; † September 13, 1903 in Rosenheim ) was a German administrative lawyer.

Life

Auer was a son of the customs inspector Gregor Auer and his wife Katharina, nee. Appelmann. After attending grammar school in Aschaffenburg , he began studying law at the University of Munich in the fall of 1848 and became a member of the Corps Franconia . He passed the first state examination in 1852 and the second state examination in 1855 and was employed by the Magistrate of Memmingen and the Babenhausen district court from 1855 to 1857 . In 1857 he became an accessist in the district government of Swabia in Augsburg, in 1862 an assessor at the district office in Nördlingen , and in 1869 a government assessor in Würzburg . On May 13, 1873 he was appointed district administrator of Rosenheim . At the end of the same year he was promoted to government councilor. He retired in 1895 for health reasons.

Awards

The market town of Prien am Chiemsee made Auer an honorary citizen in 1887. In 1888 he was awarded the Bavarian Order of Merit by the Saint Michael IV class.
