Heinrich David Hertz

Heinrich David Hertz (born September 21, 1797 in Hamburg , † October 24, 1863 in Prague ) was a German businessman and member of the Hamburg parliament .

Life

Hertz ran a shop in English manufactured goods in Hamburg and Leeds . He was married to Betty Oppenheim, Gustav Ferdinand Hertz was his son, Heinrich Hertz his grandson. Hertz was originally of Jewish faith and converted to Protestant Christianity in 1834. He was a member of Hamburg's citizenship from 1860 to 1862, the following for Emile Nölting , whose election was declared invalid. He died in transit in Prague.
