Heinrich Diedrich Balemann
Heinrich Diedrich Balemann (born June 23, 1703 in Lübeck ; † April 6, 1768 there ) was a lawyer and mayor of Lübeck .
Life
Balemann was the son of Lübeck's mayor Heinrich Balemann . From 1722 to 1725 he studied law at the universities of Gießen and Altdorf . He then spent five months at Imperial Courts in Wetzlar and received his doctorate in 1727 at the University of Utrecht Dr. both rights. After a trip through England and France he became council secretary in Lübeck in 1728 and protonotary in 1738 . With the death of his father he was elected to the city council in 1750 and appointed mayor of the city in 1761.
He was married to a daughter of the wine merchant Johann Georg Tesdorpf. His wooden epitaph in Lübeck's Marienkirche was destroyed in a fire in the church in 1942.
