Heinrich Federer (painter)

Heinrich Federer (* 1819 in Freiburg ; † 1859 in Ehrenstetten ) was a German landscape and portrait painter .

Life

Federer stayed in Paris from 1845 until 1847. There he studied at the École des Beaux-Arts and probably in Michel-Martin Drolling's studio . Around 1847 he was in Freiburg i.Br. and went on trips a. a. through Switzerland and Bavaria. Participation in exhibitions and the like followed. a. in the Rhineland, in Strasbourg and in Augsburg . Federer moved to Düsseldorf before 1856 .
