Heinrich Glaser

Heinrich Glaser (born August 6, 1851 in Binningen , † May 29, 1917 ) was a Swiss politician .

Life

Glaser graduated from high school and then studied law in Basel ; He received his doctorate as Dr. iur. He was a police officer in Basel and from 1876 to 1884 land clerk in the canton of Basel-Landschaft . From 1885 to 1917 he worked as a free-spirited government councilor and held the office of finance and then justice.

His main work was the state constitution of 1892, through which the cantonal direct state tax was introduced. Among other things, Glaser accompanied the court and procedural rules of 1905 and the introductory law on Swiss civil law of 1905. In the mortgage reform initiative from 1893 to 1896, he was an opponent of Stefan Gschwind .
