Heinrich II von Münsterberg (Polish Henryk II Ziębicki ; Czech Jindřich Minstrberský ; † March 11, 1420 in Livonia ) was 1410-1420 Duke of Münsterberg .

Life

Heinrich II von Münsterberg came from the Silesian Piast family . His parents were Duke Bolko III. von Münsterberg and Eufemia, daughter of Duke Boleslaus († 1355) von Beuthen and Cosel .

After the death of his father in 1410, Heinrich and his older brother Johann took over the government of the Duchy of Münsterberg. During their reign, the parish church of Münsterberg was enlarged and endowed with foundations. Heinrich is said to have been a knight of the Teutonic Order , for which he participated in the fight against Lithuania . On March 11, 1420 he is said to have fallen in Livonia . Then the Duchy of Münsterberg was ruled by Heinrich's brother Johann alone. With his death in 1428, the Münsterberg branch of the Silesian Piasts in the male line became extinct.
