Heinrich Karl Friedrich de la Motte Fouqué de Saint Surin (born June 16, 1701 in The Hague , † after 1775 in Celle ) was a royal Prussian colonel and commander of a grenadier battalion and the Fort Prussia near Stettin .

His father was Karl (Charles) de la Motte Fouqué (1625–1701). He fled France to Holland because of the Huguenot persecution. He previously owned large estates and was Baron de la Motte, Saint Surin, Thonnaiboutonne and la Greve. In Haag he married Susanne de Robillard (1670-1740) daughter of Maria de Rouchefaucault des Touches and Josias de Robillard , a knight from the Champagne region. His eldest brother Henry Charles (* 1696; † June 21, 1742 in Eisleben) went into Saxon service and died as a lieutenant colonel. The second brother Heinrich August became a Prussian general (1698–1774).

He first entered the service of the Elector of Braunschweig and Lüneburg . From there he went into Russian services, in which he fought against the Turks. In 1743 he came to Prussia and became the commandant of a grenadier battalion. The battalion was formed from the grenadiers of the regiments "von Münchow" and "du Mulin" and was commanded by Friedrich August von Finck until the battle of Prague .

The regiment was then able to stand out in the defense of the Brückenschanze near Tein (October 9, 1744). He was seriously injured by a shot in the abdomen. Therefore, he left the regiment and field service in October 1744. The king appointed him colonel and commandant of Fort Prussia near Stettin. In 1751 he received the requested farewell. He later died in Celle.
