Heinrich Kraemer (politician)

Robert Heinrich Theodor Kraemer (born December 17, 1842 in Kirchen (Sieg) , † October 26, 1907 there ) was mayor and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Kraemer attended the secondary school in Siegen and studied at the University of Berlin and the Bergakademie Leoben ( Styria ). He learned the trade in Mönchengladbach in a mining company. From 1864 on, he initially led the business of the rural mayor's office of Kirchen as an alderman. In 1877 he initiated the establishment of the local volunteer fire brigade and in 1886 he was appointed mayor. From 1888 he was district deputy of the Altenkirchen district in the Westerwald and from 1897 a member of the district council. He resigned his offices as mayor, registrar and public prosecutor in 1897.

From 1890 to 1907 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Koblenz 1 ( Wetzlar - Altenkirchen ) and the National Liberal Party, and from 1898 to 1903 he was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives , where he represented the constituency of Koblenz 2 (Altenkirchen - Neuwied).

In Kirchen, the municipal administration has its seat in the Villa Kraemer and there is a Heinrich-Kraemer-Straße.
