Heinrich Manderman

Heinrich Manderman (* 1923 in Poland; † February 5, 2002 ) was a stateless entrepreneur active in Germany and Israel in the photographic and optical industry .

Life

Since 1946 Manderman was active in the distribution of photographic products. He was (temporarily) owner or co-owner of the following companies:

• Beroflex AG, co-founder of the company founded in 1969 to sell East German photo articles (including exclusive sales contract with ORWO and Pentacon : Praktica )
• Exakta Foto AG, Zurich , founded in 1971, deleted in 1991
• Miranda Foto-Video GmbH , Nuremberg , high-end single-lens reflex cameras and import of Japanese photo articles (including Miranda bayonets), subsidiary of Exakta Foto AG, Zurich
• Robomatix Ltd., Raanana ( Israel ), temporarily listed on NASDAQ , including laser cutting devices , major shareholder until 1999, including the subsidiary Robomatix Europe GmbH
• Jos. Schneider Optical Works , Bad Kreuznach ; since the bankruptcy in 1982 the majority shareholder and to 1997 in the management active
• Jos. Schneider Feinwerktechnik GmbH & Co. KG (founded 1991), Jos. Schneider Feinwerktechnik Verwaltungsgesellschaft mbH, both in Dresden
• Pentacon GmbH, Dresden
• B + W Filterfabrik , Wiesbaden / Bad Kreuznach , takeover in 1985, part of the Schneider Group
• Rollei , Braunschweig , 1987 until sold to Samsung in 1995
• ORWO , Wolfen , autumn 1994 until bankruptcy in November 1997

He laid the foundation for his business success with Beroflex AG, founded in 1969 . In 1997, after a stroke , Manderman completely handed over the management to Schneider-Kreuznach and relocated with his family to Israel . After Manderman's death, his daughter Ethel Cygler became the main shareholder in Jos. Schneider Optische Werke GmbH .

In public life, Manderman was involved as Vice President of the Israel Trade Center at the Israeli Embassy in Germany, which serves mutual economic contacts and technology transfer between the two countries.

At the Tel Aviv University 2003 was (TAU) Chana and Heinrich Manderman Chair (chair = chair ) for Optoelectronics furnished. Manderman was a member of the Supervisory Board ( Board of Governors ) of TAU and TAU donated the capital to set up a loan program for students ( The Henry Manderman Student Loan Fund ). His daughter Ethel Cygler succeeded him as a member of the TAU supervisory board.
