Heinrich Mittweg

Johann Heinrich Mittweg (* 1804 in Essen ; † May 26, 1871 in Trier ) was a German lawyer , judiciary and member of parliament .

origin

Heinrich Mittweg was a son of the domain rent master Anton Carl Mittweg and his wife Antonia, nee. Dioeners. His aunt Bernharda Mittweg was married to Johann Adams, ( Mayor of Zell from 1803 to 1818) from 1792 .

Life

After graduating from high school in Dusseldorf studied Mittweg 1823 law at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms University in Bonn and from 1823 to 1826 at the Ruprecht-Karls University in Heidelberg . Mittweg worked from 1839 as a lawyer at the Trier district court and as a local politician he was a member of the Trier city council from 1846 to 1871.

Since the revolutionary year of 1848 , Mittweg was one of the leading liberals around Friedrich Zell from Trier, whose constitutional program he had signed. In the May elections in 1848 , Mittweg was proposed in Zell as a candidate for the Prussian National Assembly and elected deputy to the democratic deputy Johann Baptist Grach (1793-1851). However, on July 10, 1848, Mittweg renounced his mandate, and so Franz Friedrich Müller from Zell took over the vacated place as a member of the Prussian National Assembly.

family

Heinrich Mittweg had been with Anna Maria Joseph, born on September 6, 1832. Schumm (* 1808 in Zell), daughter of Joseph Ludwig Schumm and Anna Maria Gertrud, b. Maas, married. The son Dr. med. Carl Mittweg was a city councilor in Trier from 1881 to 1887 and from 1903 to 1913.
