Life

He is the son of the master miller Heinrich Mooshake (1809–1890) from Benzingerode and had a steep career, which his father actively promoted. He had switched from grain production to processing and milling (he bought several mills near Halberstadt ) to the grain trade, which he had been doing in Halberstadt since 1852, after having acquired the "Deutsches Haus" inn there.

After finishing school, Heinrich Mooshake initially worked as a farmer in Halberstadt for some time. In 1868, he and his brother Theodor Mooshake founded the Gebr. Mooshake grain wholesaler . Together with their brother Otto, who later became the founder of the Otto Mooshake Foundation , Heinrich and Theodor Mooshake expanded the company's office building and storage rooms at Schützenstraße 3–4 in Halberstadt.

In 1878 he became a co-founder of the Mooshake u. Lindemann in Halberstadt.

After Heinrich Mooshake had become appropriately financially strong, he became the owner of the Derenburg manor in 1883 . From 1903 he had a new manor house built there in Art Nouveau style, which with its garden still characterizes the townscape at the end of the village in the direction of Halberstadt.

He married Sophie Lüddecke in Halberstadt in 1862, but she died in Derenburg in 1896. Their son Heinrich, born in 1867, took over the Derenburg manor, which he sold after he had become general director in Vienna . The one year older daughter Emma married the secret supervisory and ministerial advisor Walter Hesse in Berlin .

Heinrich Mooshake was a partner in the Julius Schliephake & Co sugar factory in Minsleben, where he died in 1914.
