Heinrich Usefulel

Heinrich Usefulel ( October 31, 1863 - April 9, 1934 ) was a German orientalist and numismatist .

In 1891 he received his doctorate from the University of Jena under Johann Gustav Stickel . In the same year he became an employee of the Berlin Münzkabinett , initially as a scientific assistant, from 1897 as assistant director and from 1912 until his retirement as a result of an accident at the end of 1926 as custodian of oriental coins. In January 1927 he moved to Tübingen . In 1907 he was given the title of professor.

He dealt with the numismatics of the Orient and published the catalog of the oriental coins of the Berlin Münzkabinett sorted by dynasties.
