Bernd Kluge

Bernd Kluge (born June 18, 1949 in Cottbus ) is a German numismatist . His focus is on the field of medieval numismatics .

Live and act

From 1972 Bernd Kluge worked at the Münzkabinett Berlin , initially as a research assistant, from 1982 as curator, from 1988 as deputy director and from 1992 to September 30, 2014 as director. He is also an honorary professor for medieval numismatics at the Humboldt University in Berlin . From 1993 to 1999 he was chairman of the numismatic commission of the states in the Federal Republic of Germany .
