Heinrich Pauser

Heinrich Pauser (born July 2, 1899 in Offenbach am Main , † October 6, 1989 in Bad Soden am Taunus ) was a German typographer and graphic artist .

Life

Heinrich Pauser studied at the technical college in Offenbach with Ludwig Enders and R. Throll and later in the workshop of Rudolf Koch . From 1924 he worked as a graphic artist in Worpswede . In 1932 he moved to Darmstadt, and from the mid-1930s he settled in Frankfurt / Main as a freelance commercial artist .

Artistic work

In addition to early work, including for bindings for the Leipziger bookbindery Hübel & Denck , Heinrich Pauser is best known today for his font designs. Fonts designed by him are e.g. B. Fonts : Petra (D. Stempel AG, 1954), Semper Antiqua (Genzsch & Heyse 1940), Semper Antiqua half bold (Genzsch & Heyse 1941), Semper Kursiv (Genzsch & Heyse 1952).
