Heinrich Peter von Podewils

Heinrich Peter von Podewils (* 1749 ; † April 20, 1809 at Haus Demmin ) was district administrator of the Demmin-Treptow district and regional director of Western Pomerania .

Life

Heinrich Peter von Podewils was a son of Peter von Podewils (1709–1778), heir to Sanzkow , Strelow and Klevenow , and Magdalena Louise von Kneitlingen († 1758). After he entered the No. 30 Infantry Regiment early on and rose to the rank of lieutenant , he took his leave in 1775.

He settled on the Tentzerow estate , became district deputy and councilor. When he applied for the office of district administrator in the Demmin-Treptow district in 1787, preference was given to his brother-in-law Ernst Peter von Podewils . After his death he was elected district administrator himself and received the appointment after successfully passing the major exam in the presence of the Minister von Blumenthal on March 27, 1792. In December 1797 he also became director of the Western Pomerania credit plant .

On February 6, 1801 he became regional director of Western Pomerania, succeeding Carl von Massow .

Heinrich Peter von Podewils was the heir to Tentzerow, Sanzkow and Hohenmocker . He was married and left a daughter Juliane Sophie Auguste Wilhelmine von Podewils (* August 10, 1776 in Sanzkow; † March 9, 1840 in Parsewalk), ∞ before 1795 Friedrich von Trebra (* August 7, 1773 in Demmin; † March 23 1820 in Treptow an der Tollense), cornet in the cuirassier regiment K 7 .
