Heinrich Pothmann

Heinrich Pothmann (born June 17, 1858 in Hagen-Elsey , † November 4, 1938 in Münster ) was a German administrative lawyer, deputy director of the Landesbank of the Province of Westphalia and deputy governor of the Province of Westphalia .

Career

Heinrich Pothmann studied law and political science in Leipzig and Berlin after graduating from high school in Paderborn . He did his military service as a one-year volunteer and was dismissed as a reserve sergeant for health reasons. After his first state examination in 1881, he worked as a trainee lawyer at the Berlin Court of Appeal and after the second state examination in 1887 he became a court assessor . On December 1, 1888, he was entrusted with the temporary administration of the position of the District Court Council in Nauen . He returned to Berlin and was hired in April 1891 as an unskilled worker at the Invaliden- und Altenversicherungsanstalt of the Province of Westphalia. In the following year he became a state councilor and member of the board. On August 1, 1898, he came to the main administration of the provincial administration and was elected deputy director of the Landesbank of the Province of Westphalia . As a regional councilor and state syndic, he began his service on February 22, 1899. He later became deputy chairman of the Landesbank. His election as Deputy Governor of the Province of Westphalia fell on May 4, 1923. On June 30, 1926, he retired after extending his regular service. As a retired man, he was still busy working on special tasks for the provincial administration from October 1926 to June 1931.
