Heinrich Reiser (born April 16, 1566 , † September 27, 1629 in Lübeck ) was a German lawyer .

Life

Reiser was the son of Jürgen Reiser (1538–1605), a citizen of Lübeck from Nuremberg, and his wife Adelheid, a daughter of Hinrich Rykhoff, a citizen of Lübeck. Reiser studied law at the University of Frankfurt / Oder around 1587 and at the Altdorf Academy from 1588 . As an advocate and member of the Lübeck citizenship , he gained historical importance through the Reiser unrest of 1599, named after him. He stood out as the head and spokesman when the citizenship demanded an account of controversial political decisions from the Lübeck council and presented a catalog of complaints, with which she called for internal reforms of the community.

After 1600 Reiser became syndic of the Lübeck cathedral chapter , in 1610 advice from Duke Hans Albrecht von Mecklenburg , 1617 to 1620 chancellor of Archbishop Johann Friedrich von Bremen in Bremervörde, 1620 advice from Archbishop Johann Friedrich von Bremen.

Heinrich Reiser married Anna Högelken (1575–1642), daughter of the city commandant Michael Högelke , on May 18, 1595 , with whom he had two sons, the Hamburg lawyer Michael and the Lübeck city commandant Andreas , as well as a daughter, Sarah Dorothea Reiser (1599–1654 ), who married the Lüneburg Syndicus Heinrich Bacmeister (1584–1628) and became the mother of Heinrich Bacmeister . He lived in Johannisstrasse 32. He was buried on September 27, 1629.
