Heinrich Risch

Heinrich Risch (born August 24, 1888 in Hildesheim , † September 20, 1962 in Hanover ) was a German SPD politician and was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament .

Life

Risch attended elementary school and learned the lathe trade. He took part in the First World War from 1914 to 1918. As early as 1906 he was unionized in the metalworkers' association and since 1921 he was a member of the Hildesheim local administration of the union. From 1911 he was a member of the SPD and also chairman of the SPD local branch in Hildesheim.

From 1927 to 1933 he was the mayor of the city of Hildesheim. In 1933 he was placed under police supervision. In 1945 he was again a member of the local administration IG Metall and from 1945 to 1954 chairman of the works council of the Senking works in Hildesheim. From 1946 Risch was again a member of the Hildesheim City Council. He died in Hanover on September 20, 1962.
