Heinrich Ritter (publisher)

Heinrich Ritter (* 1837 in Arnsberg ; † February 23, 1917 in Leipzig ) was a German employee and publisher .

On November 14, 1853 he joined the publishing house of Karl Baedeker (1801-1859) in Koblenz and in 1862 he became an authorized signatory under Karl Baedeker junior (1837-1911) . After his departure and the sole takeover of the publishing house by Fritz Baedeker on May 28, 1878, he became editor. On November 14, 1878, on the occasion of his 25th anniversary with the company, he became a partner in the publishing house and was allowed to use the signature "Karl Baedeker" for business purposes.

For his 50th anniversary as an authorized signatory in 1912, the publisher of the Leipzig sculptor and medalist was Felix Pfeifer a reminder medal design in bronze.
