Heinrich Rump (born December 27, 1768 in Bremen - Horn ; † March 7, 1837 in Bremen) was a German educator and Bremen city librarian.

Rump was the son of the Horner pastor Dietrich Hermann Rump. He attended the Lyceum from 1784 to 1786 and the Alte Gymnasium until 1789 . From 1789 to 1793 he studied philology at the University of Göttingen . From 1793 to 1794 he was court master (private tutor) to a young nobleman in Hanover

In 1794 he became a teacher of classical languages ​​at the Paedagogeum in Bremen and in 1796 received the title of professor. In 1796 he also became the city librarian of Bremen. In 1829 he gave up the teaching post. He wrote writings on the history of pedagogy in Bremen and his thoughts on a public collection of books geared towards national education for a German, especially northern German city .
