Heinrich Schaller (born November 11, 1959 in Linz ) is an Austrian bank manager .

Life

Heinrich Schaller is the son of Karl Schaller, who from 1949 until his death in a traffic accident in 1973 was General Director of the Raiffeisen Central Bank, the forerunner of the Raiffeisenlandesbank Upper Austria.

After attending the Kollegium Aloisianum in Linz, he studied law at the Johannes Kepler University in Linz from 1978 to 1984 . In 1984 he received his doctorate in Linz. He completed a degree in commercial science at the Vienna University of Economics and Business without a degree. After completing his military service , he completed his judicial year in 1986 . Schaller is an honorary member of the two Catholic student associations Austro-Danubia Linz and Rhaeto-Danubia Vienna, both in the ÖCV .

From 1987 to 2000 he held various positions at Raiffeisen Zentralbank . From 2000 to June 2006 he was Deputy Director of the Board of Directors at Raiffeisenlandesbank Oberösterreich . From 2000 to 2004 he was a member of the supervisory board of Kepler-Fondes Kapitalgesellschaft GmbH, and from 2003 also a member of the supervisory board of Raiffeisen Kapitalanlagen GmbH. Since July 2006 he has been the successor to Stefan Zapotocky on the board of the Vienna Stock Exchange . Since January 2010 he has also been a board member of the CEE Stock Exchange Group .

Since April 1, 2012, he has succeeded Ludwig Scharinger as Chairman of the Management Board of Raiffeisenlandesbank Oberösterreich AG and General Director of RLB.

Schaller holds various supervisory board mandates, including at AMAG Austria Metall AG and Voestalpine AG . For the periods 2013 to 2018 and 2018 to 2023 he is chairman of the university council of the Johannes Kepler University Linz.

Heinrich Schaller is divorced and has four children.
