Heinrich Schlieper

Heinrich Schlieper (born December 18, 1826 in Iserlohn ; † April 8, 1905 there ) was a German industrialist and politician.

Schlieper attended secondary schools in Iserlohn. Because of his revolutionary activities in 1848 he was imprisoned for a year in 1849/1850, but was acquitted in 1850. He became the owner of the Heinrich Schlieper chain factory in Grüne near Iserlohn. He was also a member of the Iserlohn District Chamber of Commerce for many years. In local politics he was active, among other things, in church and community councils.

He was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives from 1873 to 1882 , where he represented the constituency of Arnsberg 3 ( Altena district - Iserlohn district ). Member of the Reichstag in the fourth electoral term from 1878 to 1881 . As a member of the National Liberal Party, he also represented the constituency of Arnsberg 3 (Altena and Iserlohn).
