Heinrich Schneider (Senior Administrator)

Johannes Heinrich Schneider (born January 12, 1801 in Lauffen am Neckar , † October 15, 1871 in Ulm ) was a Württemberg Oberamtmann and member of the state parliament.

life and work

The son of the farmer Georg David Schneider from Lauffen trained as a scribe from 1815 and then worked in this profession until 1824. From 1824 to 1828 he studied law in Tübingen. From 1828 he was an unskilled worker at the Stuttgart city office and until 1830 an actuary at the Waiblingen regional office, the Ludwigsburg regional office and the Stuttgart city office. In 1830 Heinrich Schneider became trainee lawyer in the Stuttgart Ministry of the Interior and in 1832 secretary in the government of the Jagstkreis in Ellwangen. From 1834 to 1838 he headed the Oberamt Sulz and from 1838 to 1867 the Oberamt Ravensburg . From 1857 to 1869 he was a councilor in the government of the Danube District in Ulm.

In March 1842 Schneider joined the Württemberg state parliament after electing a replacement for the retired Ludwig Becherer , to which he belonged until 1843.

Awards

In 1856 Heinrich Schneider received the Knight's Cross of the Order of Frederick .
