Heinrich Schoppmeyer (lawyer)

Heinrich Schoppmeyer (born March 26, 1966 in Witten ) is a German lawyer. He was Vice President of the Offenburg Regional Court and has been a judge at the Federal Court of Justice since November 2014 .

Life

After completing his legal training, he began his legal career in the higher justice service in the state of Baden-Württemberg in 1995 . He was employed as a trial reporter at the district court of Konstanz at the local public prosecutor's office and at the district court of Singen . From September 1997 to May 2001 he was seconded to the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Justice . During the secondment, Schoppmeyer was appointed judge at the regional court in February 1998 . He was initially assigned to a post at the Constance Regional Court and later at the Freiburg Regional Court . He was born in 2000 at the University of KonstanzPhD with the work Legal Method as a Life's Work: Life, Work and Impact History of Philipp Heck . In March 2007, he was transferred to the Karlsruhe Higher Regional Court. In January 2012 Heinrich Schoppmeyer became Vice-President of the Offenburg Regional Court and Chairman of the Chamber for Commercial Matters.

In November 2014 he was appointed judge at the Federal Court of Justice and the IV Civil Senate of the Federal Court of Justice , which is primarily responsible for inheritance law and insurance contract law . Since September 1, 2019, he has also been part of the XIII. Civil Senate .
