from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Heinrich Woldt , also Hinrich Woldt (* 1649 in Bremen ; † March 23, 1723 in Lübeck ) was a German merchant and councilor of the Hanseatic city of Lübeck.

Life

Heinrich Woldt was the son of the Bremen merchant Nikolaus Woldt. He was elected to the Lübeck Council in 1715. Heinrich Woldt was buried in the grave of the Katharinenkirche, acquired in 1698 . The post-Reformation grave slab of a pewter caster who died in 1576 has been preserved.

His son Hermann Woldt also became a councilor in Lübeck. His grandson Heinrich Woldt (1714–1799) was a licentiate in both rights as a recorder and secretary at the Lübecker Wette . In 1732, the year Hermann Woldt was appointed councilor, another grave in the name of Heinrich Woldt was acquired in the Katharinenkirche. Now it was about the second use of a Gothic tombstone of the patrician Gert Castorp from 1473. This tombstone has also been preserved. Both grave slabs bear the inscription of the second user: "Henrich Woldt and his inheritance" with the dates of the respective acquisition.
