Heinrich Wullenhaupt

Heinrich Wullenhaupt (born December 3, 1903 in Bochum , † February 13, 1985 in Gelsenkirchen ) was a German politician ( CDU ).

Life

After attending primary school, Wullenhaupt completed an apprenticeship as a typesetter from 1918 to 1922, then worked in this profession and worked as a typesetter from 1925 to 1939. After the outbreak of the Second World War he was drafted into service at Hochtief AG in Essen . He then retrained to become a commercial clerk and auditor. From 1942 to 1945 he was employed by the mining and steelworks company in Berlin .

After the end of the war, Wullenhaupt worked as a workers secretary. From 1945 he worked as district secretary for the Catholic Workers' Movement (KAB) and from 1958 he was diocesan secretary of the KAB in the diocese of Essen . He was also the deputy chairman of the KAB in West Germany .

Political party

Wullenhaupt was involved in the Windthorstbund until 1933 . After the Second World War he joined the CDU. From 1949 he was chairman of the CDU district association in Gelsenkirchen, from 1952 to 1965 chairman of the CDU district of the Ruhr area and a member of the state board of the CDU Westphalia-Lippe.

MP

Wullenhaupt was a council member of the city of Gelsenkirchen from 1952 to 1964. He was a member of the German Bundestag from 1953 to 1969. He was always drawn into parliament via the state list of North Rhine-Westphalia .

Honors

Heinrich Wullenhaupt was awarded the Grand Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany in 1968 .

In 1952 he was appointed Knight of the Order of Knights of the Holy Sepulcher by Cardinal Grand Master Nicola Cardinal Canali and invested on May 1, 1952 by Lorenz Jaeger , Grand Prior of the German Lieutenancy .
