Heinrich Zankl

Heinrich Zankl (born February 21, 1941 in Nuremberg ) is the son of Hans Ludwig Zankl and brother of Franz Rudolf Zankl . He is a German human biologist and well-known non-fiction author. Until his retirement he was Professor of Human Biology at the Technical University of Kaiserslautern .

biography

Heinrich Zankl studied veterinary medicine at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich and received his doctorate in 1967. med. vet. After completing a second degree in anthropology and human genetics , he received his doctorate. rer. nat. 1977 followed the habilitation for human genetics at the University of Saarland .

From 1979 to 2006 Heinrich Zankl was Professor of Human Biology and Human Genetics at the Technical University of Kaiserslautern . His main areas of work were tumor cytogenetics and mutagenicity research . From 1987 to 1993 he was also Vice President for Research and Teaching at the Technical University of Kaiserslautern. Zankl has written numerous text and non-fiction books. Since his retirement he has been working more and more in the field of marginalistics . He is also involved in social projects.
