Heinrich de Wall

Heinrich de Wall (* 1961 ) is a German legal scholar .

Life

De Wall studied law at the universities of Göttingen and Erlangen-Nürnberg . In 1990 he received his doctorate on the theory of the state of Johann Friedrich Horn at the University of Erlangen. In 1997 he completed his habilitation on the applicability of private law regulations in administrative law, also at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg .

From 1998 to 2001 de Wall held the chair for public law, state church and church law at the University of Halle-Wittenberg . As the successor to Christoph Link , de Wall was then appointed to the chair for canon law, constitutional and administrative law at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg in 2001 . Here he is also head of the Hans Liermann Institute for Canon Law.

De Wall researches primarily in the areas of Protestant church and state church law as well as constitutional history . Among other things, he has been co-editor of the Savigny-Stiftung für Rechtsgeschichte - Canonical Department since 2006 .
