Christoph Link

Christoph Link (born June 13, 1933 in Dresden ) is a German legal scholar .

Link received his doctorate from the University of Munich in 1963 , and in 1970 he also completed his habilitation there. He was a full professor at the Universities of Vienna , Salzburg , Göttingen and finally Erlangen-Nuremberg , where he the Department of State , administrative and canon law held. As an authorized representative, he represented one of the parties to the proceedings before the Federal Constitutional Court on the LER instruction ; He also prepared a legal opinion in the process of obtaining corporate status by Jehovah's Witnesses .

His main research interests are constitutional law, state church and church law, constitutional history and the history of political ideas . Link is co-editor of the magazine for evangelical church law .

The Protestant theological faculties of Tübingen and Vienna awarded Christoph Link an honorary doctorate .

Link is also the doctoral supervisor of the Bavarian Prime Minister Markus Söder.
