Heinrich von Korff called Schmising zu Tatenhausen (born January 13, 1650 , † July 21, 1716 in Münster ) was canon and deputy to the Landespfennigkammer.

Life

Origin and family

Heinrich von Korff grew up as the son of Kaspar Heinrich von Korff called Schmising (1616–1690, Amtsdroste in Iburg) and his wife Anna Margaretha von Neuhof zu Horstmar together with his sister Sybille Wilhelmina (∞ Rembert Jobst von Kerssenbrock zu Brinke) and his brothers Friedrich Matthias , Ferdinand (* 1666, Knight of the Order of Malta) and Dietrich Otto in the ancient Westphalian noble family von Korff .

Career and work

As a 14-year-old with a cathedral end in Speyer , Heinrich was appointed canon in 1673 by the Turnar , his brother Dietrich Otto . This was followed by studies in Rome. On 24 March 1674 he was awarded with the Low ordinations the Subdiakonatsweihe . By papal ordinance, he received a Dompräbende in Osnabrück in 1677 . On August 8, 1684, he was appointed a deputy at the Landespfennigkammer . His appointment as provost of St. Martini in Münster fell in 1690. In 1693 he was archdeacon in Warendorf and became provost at St. Alexander's Church in Wildeshausen .
