Heinrich von Munster

Heinrich von Münster (* in the 15th or 16th century; † December 24, 1555 ) was a canon in Münster .

Life

Heinrich von Münster came from the highly free Westphalian noble family von Münster . He was the son of Johann von Munster and his wife Mechtild von Hackfort. His uncle was the provost Bernhard von Munster . On March 16, 1536 Heinrich had a proxy submit the papal commission for the prebend of the late Canon Arnd von Raesfeld , combined with the request for permission to take possession. On January 7, 1537 , he enrolled at the University of Perugia . On April 15, 1542 he became canon in Münster after a settlement with his brother was reached through the mediation of the cathedral provost Bernhard von Münster. On October 14, 1555 renounced it on his benefice. Heinrich had planned a wedding with Jutta von Raesfeld zu Ostendorf, but died beforehand on December 24, 1555. He had two sons from a concubinage with Anne Tortenmackers, both of whom he considered in his will.
