Heinrichsort is a small town in the Zwickau district in Saxony . It belongs as a district to Lichtenstein / Sa. The current mayor is Anett Richter.
geography
Heinrichsort is located about 15 km east of Zwickau and 26 km west of Chemnitz. Rödlitz can be reached via the Glauchau -Ost and Hohenstein-Ernstthal motorway connections . Heinrichsort is surrounded by the Burgwald and the Neudörfler Wald. The place lies at the foot of the western Ore Mountains, at an altitude of 430 m above sea level.
history
Heinrichsort was founded by a few farmers in 1704. In 1783 the local church and school building were built. The stocking industry based in the Heinrichsort region established a factory in Heinrichsort in 1921. During the Second World War , a US plane crashed in Heinrichsort Castle Forest.
Because of the many wood thefts around 1900, Heinrichsort is also jokingly called Kuber or Mauskuber. Girls from Heinrichsort used to be called Köbersche.
On January 1, 1996 Heinrichsort was incorporated into Lichtenstein.
