Heinz-Georg Kamler (born January 7, 1942 in Vienna ) is an Austrian manager , entrepreneur and former member of the Olympic squad .

Life

Heinz-Georg Kamler was born as the son of Bernhard von Kamler (General Director of Industry, Vice President of the Federal Chamber of Commerce, Consul General of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg , Honorary Member of the Association of Austrian Industrialists) and Helga von Kamler (née von Widmann). His stepfather was Hans Lauda (First President of the Federation of Industrialists, General Director of Industry, President of the Austrian Red Cross , President of the Austrian -American Society, President of the Campagnerreiter Society).

He grew up in Vienna and attended the academic high school in Vienna for two years, as well as the boarding school of the humanistic collegiate high school in Seitenstetten in Lower Austria up to the Matura . This was followed by studies at the law faculty of the University of Vienna with study visits to Paris , London , Lausanne , Cologne , Luxembourg and in 1967 the doctorate with dissertation on a topic of international law .

Kamler was a member of the Austrian national athletics team and the 1960 Olympic squad, often national champion and record holder in the 200-meter run (Kurier 1962: "Kamler is Austria's fastest sprinter"), 13th in the 200-meter run at the European Championships in Belgrade in 1962 , International winner (200 meters) against Italy and Greece, North African champion from Cairo etc.

He later became the youngest director (33 years old) in Austria (at a stock corporation with a turnover of one and a half billion schillings and 2,8oo employees) at Felten & Guilleaume , factory electrical cables, steel and copper works AGWien, Bruck / Mur and Diemlach (1976-1983) and then managing partner of Trenka, chem.pharmazeutische Fabrik Ges.mbH (1984–1994).
