Heinz-Gerd Klostermann

Heinz-Gerd Klostermann (born October 22, 1943 in Eschweiler ) is a former German soccer player .

He played as a striker from 1964 to 1970 in the Bundesliga and Regionalliga West for Alemannia Aachen . With Alemannia he was in the 1965 DFB Cup final against Borussia Dortmund. In the 1966/67 season Heinz-Gerd Klostermann was with Aachen champion of the Regionalliga West and first of the promotion round to the Bundesliga. He played a total of 59 Bundesliga games (16 goals) and 79 games in Regionalliga West, in which he scored 21 goals. He also scored nine goals in 22 cup appearances. In later years Klostermann was managing director at Alemannia Aachen.

Klostermann's most successful time was the season 1968/69, when he was runner-up with Aachen and also played a strong season personally, as one of two players played all 34 season games (together with Josef Thelen ). For the new season, however, he injured his cruciate ligament in a preparatory game, which is why he was disabled. Without him, the reigning runner-up Aachen rose from the bottom of the table in the second division.
