During his school days he was active as a group leader for church youth work . He then studied Protestant theology and philosophy at the Lutheran Theological University in Oberursel , as well as in Tübingen, Bonn and Marburg. Kubitza obtained his doctorate in Protestant theology under Erich Geldbach in 1991 . As a student he was a delegate and liaison student of the Marburg Evangelical Student Community.

After completing his studies, Kubitza founded the Tectum Verlag in Marburg , which primarily publishes scientific books, and was its owner from its foundation until the beginning of 2017. Positions

Kubitza represents a naturalistic humanism . For him the Bible is the most overrated book in world literature, and Jesus of Nazareth is the most overrated person in world history. Generally binding values, basic and human rights cannot and must not be derived from ancient religious writings, Lessing is more important than Paul .

In 2015 he published an article on his book Der Dogmenwahn: Scheinprobleme der Theologie in Tagesspiegel . Wrong ways of a presumptuous science , in which he criticized that theology was a curiosity at modern universities and that 280 million euros were spent annually on "mythology" and "believing science" in 31 departments at German state universities.
