Heinz Chmill

Heinz Chmill (born August 26, 1915 in Plettenberg ; † July 23, 1996 there ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Life and work

After attending primary school , Chmill completed an apprenticeship as a tool fitter and then worked in this profession. After labor service and military service, he worked again as a tool fitter until 1978. Chmill had belonged to the SPD since 1947 and was a member of IG Metall .

He was married and had two children.

MP

From July 24, 1966 to May 28, 1980, Chmill was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia . He was elected directly in constituency 128 Altena -Land I and in constituency 128 Lüdenscheid I.

From 1952 to 1975 he was a member of the Plettenberg City Council. He was a member of the district council of the Altena district from 1964 until it was dissolved as part of the regional reform in 1968, and the district council of the Lüdenscheid district from 1969 to 1974. After the renewed regional reform , Chmill was a member of the district council of the Märkisches Kreis from 1975 .

Public offices

From 1964 to 1968 Chmill was district administrator of the Altena district and from 1969 to 1974 of the Lüdenscheid district. From 1956 to 1961 he was mayor of the city of Plettenberg.

Others

On August 29, 1978 Chmill was awarded the Cross of Merit 1st Class of the Federal Republic of Germany. He belonged to the district assemblies of three different districts and was the only district administrator in the Lüdenscheid district.
