Heinz Fuchsbichler (born November 7, 1967 ) is an Austrian soccer coach and former soccer player.

life and career

Fuchsbichler was born in Styria . In his active time he played as a professional at DSV Alpine , Vorwärts Steyr and SC Schwarz-Weiß Bregenz . After his career as a professional, he played as an amateur at FC Hard (Regionalliga West - 3rd Austrian division). His first coaching station was the Vorarlberg U-15 selection. In 2003 he signed a contract with FC Lustenau 07 . There he was relegated with the blue in 2005 from the second highest division. That year he switched to village rivals SC Austria Lustenau . Fuchsbichler trained the Lustenauer for two seasons and finished 3rd and 4th. After his engagement in Lustenau, he went to SCR Altach , where he was the sporting director from November 2007 to January 2008. After Manfred Bender's resignation as coach, Fuchsbichler took over the coaching post and managed to stay in the Bundesliga with Altach. In August 2008 the association separated from the Styrian.

From 2010/11 he was a member of the coaching staff of the U21 national team in Liechtenstein. In the 2011/12 season, Fuchsbichler worked as an assistant coach at Josef Hickersberger's side at Al Wahda in the United Arab Emirates.

On May 21, 2012 Fuchsbichler was introduced as the coach of the Austrian Bundesliga club SV Ried . There he took over his office on June 1, 2012. After 14 rounds in the 2012/2013 Bundesliga season and after Ried's 6-1 defeat against Austria on November 4, 2012, Fuchsbichler was dismissed as Ried's coach on November 6, 2012.

He has been coaching Liechtenstein's U-21 team since 2013.

Fuchsbichler made the Matura the commercial college , is married and has two children.
