Heinz Matschurat

Heinz Matschurat ( pseudonyms : Sven Björnson , Mike Sunderland and Heinz-Günther Rath ; born August 23, 1920 in Berlin ; † January 25, 2020 in Hamburg ) was a German poet , writer , dramaturge , radio play writer , composer and songwriter . He wrote radio plays for Berliner Rundfunk (1948–51), for Radio Bremen and children's radio plays for MDR and WDR .

His two pieces How the Hare Became an Easter Bunny (MDR 1995) and An Angel in Flanders (WDR 2003) have been published as audio books by Der Audio Verlag Berlin. Björnson was last nominated for the German Audiobook Prize 2004 with the WDR production .

As a composer, arranger and music producer of over 200 music tracks, he worked for many record companies. a. for Telefunken, Decca, Polydor, Philips, Metronome and Sonoton. He lived as a music producer in Hamburg.
